Simpcw First Nation 2012 Career Fair in conjunction with “Hear ts at Work” will be held on MARCH 8, 2012 from 9am to 2:30pm at the Chu Chua Community Hall.

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training |
|
Are any Simpcw Band or community members interested in taking the “Train the Trainer” program though Crisis Prevention (CPI). This training provides certification for a person to train trainees in our community in the area of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention skills – learn how to defuse challenging and disruptive behaviour before an incident escalates to a crisis situation. Facilitation, effective communication, and group dynamics will be an asset.

Registration Process for Bill C-3 Applicants |
|
On December 15, 2010 Bill C-3 Gender Equity in Indian Registration Act received Royal Assent and is in effect as of January 31, 2011. Bill C-3 will ensure that eligible grand-children of women who lost status as a result of marrying non-Indian men will become entitled to registration (Indian status). Because of this legislation, approximately 45,000 persons will become newly entitled to registration.
