The board has been granted this mandate through a Band Council Resolution and is guided by a Mission Statement which supports the concept of promoting holistic health, and the Community Health Plan, which is based on health needs identified by a community needs assessment.
The Simpcw Health Board supports programming which is responsive to community needs. We believe that competent staff, working in concert with informed membership, can achieve our shared vision of holistic health for all.
The Simpcw Health Board is currently made up of nine members of the community who volunteer their time to meet on a monthly basis to review Health programs. The Health Board was formed in 1996 and continues to operate.
