Dunn Lake Road Realignment

Completed Works:

The crew ended up working today, Friday July 3rd, instead of taking it off in lieu of Canada Day to stay on schedule.

Crews have completed the planned activities up to this point clearing from Sta.92+03 to Sta.110+61, and the removal of woody debris has been completed.

Planned activities for next week:

Activities will jump ahead 1 section to start clearing from the waste transfer station to the paved road in Chu Chua (Sta.129+19 to Sta.147+77).  Traffic control will remain in place. Bird sweeps for this section began this morning and will continue through the weekend. Nest sweeps will not require traffic control – no anticipated traffic delays.

In this section there are a few Archaeological sites expected to be encountered - crews are aware that hand falling and removal is the only means of removal in these areas. In addition to this, ERHA 43 & ERHA 44 have been determined “No Go Zones,” as we are awaiting permitting for these areas from MOTI and Terra Archeological.
